Challenges and Competitions
From time to time we set art challenges and competitions for members of Lacock Art Group to take part in, just for fun ...
In these galleries you can take look at some of the activities that members have participated in over the last 12 months, including a selection of art created for various art challenges held during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Our annual winter competition
Each winter we hold an informal competition for members, which is traditionally judged at our last meeting of the year in December. The Committee chooses a painting for members to paint in their own style, with entries displayed in Lacock Village Hall. Everyone there on the night votes for their favourite painting; all entries are anonymous in the interest of fairness.
Our December 2023 challenge featured a painting called 'Train Landscape' by the well-known artist, Eric Ravilious. To find out who won please read our blog and to see the various entries take a look at the Winter 2023 Competition gallery.
In December 2022 challenge was a little different and involved designing a new logo for Lacock Art Group and before that the painting selected was Claude Monet’s, The Magpie, which proved to be quite a challenge!
